backend engineer

As a Backend Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining server-side logic, and ensuring the high performance and responsiveness of our applications.

1. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
2. Architecting and developing robust and scalable backend systems.
3. Collaborating with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic.
4. Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.
5. Contributing to the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
6. Staying up to date with industry trends and ensuring our technology stack is current.

1. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience (+3 years) as a backend engineer or similar role.
3. Strong programming skills in C#, Python is a plus.
4. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
5. Familiarity with version control systems (preferably Git).
6. Experience with Rest APIs.
7. Experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
8. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
9. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
10. Dutch is mandatory.

1. You have experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
2. You have knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
3. You’re familiar with CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
